Sunrise Asian Food Market is such a gem in Eugene! If you’re looking for anything niche to Asian cuisine or culture, this is the place to go. I’m originally from Hawaii, and I come here often because they always have the goodies that remind me of home. Their selection makes it easy to find specialty items for cooking without having to make the long drive up to Uwajimaya in Beaverton. The store is well-stocked, the prices are fair, and it’s such a reliable spot for both everyday staples and harder-to-find ingredients. Love this place–can’t recommend it enough for locals looking to get their Asian food fix!

Despite its modest size, the establishment offers a remarkable selection of products within the area. The owner is exceptionally helpful, and the staff provides excellent assistance with any requirements you may have.

A great surprise in the middle of Eugene. Deep selection of Asian food items. A Bay Area local and this store has even more than some groceries in the bay. People are very helpful and nice and are willing to help highly recommend if you need anything Asian!

I enjoy trying multiple cuisines from around the world. Sunrise has been my go to for sourcing ingredients for years. What I enjoy is they have a variety of each ingredient. Sauces, curries, rice, noodles, mochi, fresh vegetable, leafs, spices and teas. They have it all.

The staff is friendly, attentive and helpful. A very good selection of items for sale all of excellent quality food. A nice selection of fresh veggies and prepackaged goods. A decent selection of frozen meats and a very tiny area of fresh meat is also to be had. A good selection of rice, noodles and other grains for sale. In fact the place is packed with options. I spent nearly an hour checking everything, and I know I didn't see everything. Some items were well priced, and some a little more expensive than I have seen at other Asian markets. Be aware, the place is so packed with selections that a few of the isles were but narrow in places to navigate if you use a mobility assistance aid as I do with my cane. But staff is more than willing to help if you can't reach something.

We went today, and guess what? There is ongchoy! For my Filipino friends, now is the time to cook "Pork Sinigang." They offer a wide selection of Asian vegetables as well. On my mom's first trip to the store, her initial question was, "Why the smell?" I can detect a faint strange odor, maybe due to the age of the place or the abundance of frozen food. The staff members are friendly, approachable, and easy to communicate with.
